Walter Bosley was born ca. 1670 in Staffordshire, England and died 1715 in Baltimore County, Maryland; He married Mary Elizabeth BIRD in 1693. She was born ca. 1672 and died after 1719. Mary was the daughter of John and Elizabeth RICHARDSON–BIRD.

NOTES: Walter was in Baltimore County by 10 October 1697 or 1697 when he surveyed 200 acres called Bosley’s Expectation in Gunpowder Hundred, Baltimore, Maryland. His Will was made 29 July, 1715 and filed 2 November 1715.

In the fear of Almighty God and regard to the uncertainty of time in this world it seemeth good to me John Bosley of Baltimore County in the providence Maryland to make this for my last Will and Testament relating to those things it hath pleased God to bless me with in this world being at this time in perfect memory and sound disposing mind.

First my will and desire is that all those lawful debts which shall be due from me at the time of my decease with my funeral expenses by fully paid.
Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my son Walter Bosley his heirs and assigns forever all my tract of land called Bosley’s Adventure containing four hundred and ninety nine acres, whereon I now dwell, with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging reserving only to his mother my dear wife Hannah Bosley this use of our third part thereof during her natural life.
Also, I give and bequeath unto my said son Walter Bosley one of my Negroes at this own choice after my decease more than his equal part after devised.
Thirdly, I give and bequeath all the remaining part of my estate.
Fourthly, I give and bequeath all the remaining part of my estate whereof I shall die possessed or entitled unto to be equally divided between my said two sons their heirs and assigns forever reserving only to their said mother her lawful third thereof. Lastly, I constitute and retain my said dear wife Hannah Bosley and my said son Walter Bosley my sole Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking and making void all other will or wills and testaments heretofore by me made and in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 20th day of September 1767.

Last Will and Testament of Hannah Bosley.
In the fear of Almighty God and regard to the uncertainty of time in this world it seemeth good to me Hannah Bosley of Baltimore County in the province of Maryland to make this for my last Will and Testament relating to things it hath pleased God to bless me and in this world, being at this time in perfect memory and sound disposing mind.
First, I give and bequeath unto my son Samuel Tipton, five shillings sterling money which with several other things already given into his possession shall have no more of my estate.
Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my son Mordical Tipton five shillings sterling money which with several other things already given into his possession, shall have no more of my estate.
Thirdly, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Cole wife of Christopher Cole five shilling sterling money which with several other things already delivered into her possession shall have no more of my estate.
Fourthly, I give and bequeath my grandson Joshua Bosley one Negro man called Cato to him and his heirs forever; Likewise I give and bequeath unto my said grandson Joshua Bosley one Negro woman called Cate, one feather bed and furniture and two cows to him and his heirs forever.
Fifthly, I will that all the remaining part of my estate be equally divided amongst my grandchildren Joshua Bosley, William Bosley, Hannah Bosley, John Bosley, Ellin Bosley, Philip Bosley, Elizabeth Bosley, Rachel Bosley, Daniel Bosley, Rebekah Bosley, and Belinda Bosley; which said remaining part of my estate I give to them and their heirs forever.
Lastly, I ordain constitute and appoint my grandson Joshua Bosley sole executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all other Wills and Testament by me heretofore made and in witness hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 30th day of July 1776.
Signed and sealed and declared by the said Hannah Bosley to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us: Philip Coale, William Cole, Baltimore County on the 16th day of January , 1777 came Philip Coale and William Cole two subscribing evidencing to the within and aforegoing Last Will and Testament of Hannah Bosley late of Baltimore County, deceased and severally made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they saw the testatrix sign and seal and heard her publish and declare the same to be her last Will and Testament that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and that they severally subscribed their names as witnesses thereto in her presence at her request. Certified by me the subscriber deputy Commissary of the County aforesaid. Thomas Jones.
This John Bosley was married to Hannah Price, daughter of Mordecal and Mary Parsons – Price. She was married first to William Tipton. Hannah’s husband John in 1728 surveyed Painter’s Level in Baltimore County, Maryland, which he later sold to Samuel Tipton. The Baltimore County 1750 Debt Book shows that he owed Miller Choice 250 acres Billy’s Adventure 100 acres, Bosleys Meadow 21 acres, part of Hopyard 19 acres, part of Greer 100 acres.
Joshua Bosley, son of John and Hannah Price – Bosley, left a Will dated 9 October 1775 and proved 18 May 1776. Will Book page 330 and 331. Baltimore County, Maryland. Joshua Bosley executor and neighbor Andrew Buchanan. Witnessed by Salathiel Cole, Richard Wheeler, and Mary Bosley. He was married to Mary Hall and a daughter Belinda was born after her father Joseph died. Children named in his Will were: Joshua, William, John, Philip, Daniel, Hannah, Elizabeth, Rachel, Rebeckah, and a child yet to be born.
John Bosley, son of John and Mary Hall – Bosley, was born in 1756. He married Ann Cole. John died 1795. From Baltimore It’s History and It’s People Volume 2 1918. William was a wealthy man and was active in developing the Beaver Dam Marble Quarries.

Baltimore County, May 10 1780 came Greenbury Bosley, Executor of the Last Will and Testament of Joseph Bosley, deceased and made oath that the aforegoing is a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods and chattels of the deceased that have come to his hands or possession at the time of making therof and at what has since or may come to his hands or possession he will return in an additional inventory, that he knows of no concealment of any part or parcel of the deceased's estate by any persons whatsover, that if he should discover any or suspect any to be he will make the Register of Wills acquainted therewith, that the same may be enquired into according to law.

Baltimore County to wit on the 15th day of April 1787 came Greenbury Bosley executor of the Last Will and Testament of Joseph Bosley late of said County, deceased, and made oath that the foregoing account is just and true as it stands stated and that he has paid or secured the payment of every sum or sums for which he claims allowance which afterdue.
Joseph Bosley, son of Walter and Mary Elizabeth Bird - Bosley, was born 1695 or 1701 in Baltimore County, Maryland.
He was a farmer, Joseph married Ann Greenberry who was born ca 1710.
The Baltimore County Debt Book shows he owned, as of 1750 Ellegas Grove 30 acres.

5. Ruth born ca 1744 She was married to William Cox whose Will was proved May 1757, Baltimore County, Maryland. She lived in Sullivan County, Tennessee.
6. Thomas born ca 1746. He married 13 December 1770 to Mary Richards. His will adminstrator 26 April 1792.
7. Hannah
8. Gideon born ca 1748. He married 9 January 1772 to Sarah Cole. He died 11 August 1803/05 in Lincoln County, Kentucky.

GIDEON BOSLEY

Gideon Bosley son of Joseph and Ann Greenberry - Bosley was in the 1790 census of Washington County, Maryland.
Before 1800 he was in Lincoln County, Kentucky. He lived on what is now the main road North between Danville from Stanfore.
Part of his old home has been restored and incorporated into a much larger house on a Kentucky horse farm with family cemetery said to be on the acreage between the house and road. His wife was Sarah Cole, daughter of Abraham Cole and Frances Paralee, she was born before 1760 in Baltimore County, Maryland and died after 1810.

1. Abraham born ca 1773 in Baltimore County, Maryland. He married 7 March, 1798 to Rebecca Myers. Abraham died before 4 May 1829 in Orange County, Tennessee.
2. Ruth born ca 1775 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She married 4 November 1805 to Aaron Alderman, Sr. Ruth died ca 1850 in Hart County, Kentucky.
3. Dianah born ca 1777 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She married 17 December 1807 to Basil Hoskinson
4. Thomas Berry born ca 1779. He died 15 April 1876 in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Married 7 February 1810 Lucy S. Nix.
5. Elijah born ca 1792 at Frederick, Lincoln County, Kentucky. He married 13 January 1814 to Deborah Wiley.
6. James born 10 February 1781. Married 1817 to Sarah J. Allen in Nelson County, Kentucky. He was a Methodist lay preacher, trustee of church and Methodist Academy. He died in 1837. Sarah his wife died in Jackson County, Indiana. They had 2 children : William T. and Sarah.
7. Gideon born 9 July 1784. He died 30 November 1832 in Washington County, Kentucky.
8. Edith born ca 1786. She married 21 August 1812 to David Roberson
9. Nathan born ca 1788.

JAMES BOSLEY

James Bosley son of Walter and Mary Elizabeth Bird Bosley was born ca 1705.
He married 26 November 1730 to Elizabeth Parrish.
The 1750 Baltimore County Debt Book shows that that time he owed 143 acres of Bosley Delight.
Elizabeth administered his estate 7 June 1762.
The heirs named were: a daughter, wife of Benjamin Price; a daughter wife of Daniel Bond; a daughter Prudence; sons Ezekiel and William and 7 other children. Ezekiel married 21 October 1760 to Elizabeth Norris daughter of Joseph.

In the fear of Almighty God, and Regard to the uncertainty of time in this world, it seemeth good unto me Charles Bosley of Baltimore County, in the Providence of Maryland do make and ordain this for my last Will and Testament. Relating to those things it hath pleased God to favor me with in this world being at this time in perfect memory, sound disposing mind.
First my will and desire is that all those lawful debts which shall be justly due from me at the time of my decase with my funeral expenses we will and truely paid.
Secondly, I give and bequeath unto all my sons that are born, James, Elizah, Caleb, Zebulon, Charles and those sons or son that shall or may hereafter be born unto me by my beloved wife Elizabeth all my right. Title and interest in and unto all my tracts or parcels of land which I shall die in possession of or entitled unto to them their heirs and assigns forever, not disquetering my aforesaid beloved wife in her dwelling plantation during her natural life. But at the request of any of my said sons arising at the age of 21 years and desiring to inherit his part of my estate shall with the approsation of my said beloved wife and a majority of my said sons that then shall be above 14 years old, chose and elect 3 reputable freeholders to divide all my said lands equally proportionable to the number of male heirs thereunto as before bequethed. And such 3 freeholders thus elected and chosen shall direct my said sons in their lots, parts, portions or situations on my said lands as they arise of age, to receive and inherit the same and wherewith each of my said sons shall rest themselves content. Provided my said sons shall not agree in choice of 3 freeholders as before directed, the versity of the Parish wherein they were educates shall by hereby impowered and desired to make such choice for them wherewith they shall best content.
Thirdly, I give and bequeath unto all my daughters that are born, Millinda, Lydia, Elizabeth, Temperance, and all those daughters or daughter which shall or may hereafter be born unto me and my aforseaid beloved wife, the sum of 10 pound current money or value each daughter more than their equal part with their said brothers in my personal estate.
Fourthly, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife her saddle, bridle, and riding horse or mare at her own choice of those she or myself shall have usually rid, more than her third part of all my personal estate.
Also that my aforesaid my beloved wife have the use, care and services of all my Negroes during life unmarried, but the day of her 2nd marriage shall my children be entitled to 2/3 of all my Negroes aforesaid beloved wife and her brother Jacob Cox my executrix and executor of this my last Will and Testament having no other in this world.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 10 day of July 1759.
Signed, sealed and acknolwedged to be the last Will and Testament of the said testator in the presence of us Jospeh Bosley Jr. October 11, 1762 came Joseph Bosley, Jr. and made oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that he saw the testator Charles Bosley sign the within Will and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament.
At the time Elizabeth Bosley executrix of the said Charles Bosley made oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that she saw her deceased husband make his mark to the within Will and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament that he at the time of his so doing he was to the best of both their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind and memory.
Sworn to before William Young, Dep. Commissionary, Baltimore County.
Charles Bosley son of Walter and Mary Elizabeth Bird Bosley married Elizabeth Cox daughter of William and Mary Cox. Her will was provided 10 February 1785. Daughter Elizabeth in father's Will and not in mother's Will. 3 August 1736 William Cox and his wife, Mary for the love they both bore their daughter Elizabeth wife of Charles Bosley conveyed them 50 acres Bachelor's Range. In 1745, 1749 and 1757 Jacob Cox and wish wife Elizabeth conveyed various tracts to Charles Bosley.

In the name of God, Amen.
I Joseph Bosley of Baltimore County, Planter being in sound mine, memory and understanding, do make publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.
My body I commit to the earth, decently to be interred accoring to the discretion of my executor hereafter named and as to my worldy estate, it hast pleased God to bestow upon me after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid I give devise and bequeath in matter following: Imprimis I give and bequeath to my 6 daughters: Delilah Barney, Dianah Magers, Ann Bosley, Mary Bosley and Johanah Bosley 10 pounds of current money each; and it is my will that they have not more of my estate real or personal.
I also give and bequeath unto my son Gideon 3 pounds current money and my will is that my said Gideion shall have no more of my estate real or person.
Also I give and bequath unto my wife Ann my mare called Mad Moll, to be paid her immediately, or soon as conventiently can be as after my decease and my will and meaning is that my said wife shall have the said mare exclusive of her dower, that she shall have the said mare, and also dower, and my will is that if either of my daughters should die without have or having had lawful issue of their body that there and in that case I give and bequeath their part or parts so happening to die to be equally divided among them that shall survive.
I give devise and bequeath unto my son Thomas his heirs and assigns all my right title estate and interest in and to a tract of land called Fords Folly and also the half part or moiety of one other tract of land called Deans Ridge.
I also give and devise to my son Greenbury his heirs and assigns forever all my right title estate and interest or in and to part of a tract of land called Elsey Grove and also all that tract of land called Good Luck, and also all that tract of land called Ban Enough and also one equal half part of more of a tract of land called Deans Ridge.
I also give and bequeath my son Greenbury my negro man named Dick and one negro woman named Harer and it is my will that the said Hager be appraised and I give and bequeath one half of the money Hager may be valued at by said appraisment to my son Thomas.
I also give and bequeath unto my two sons Thomas and Greenbury all the rest and residue of my personal estate, but it is my will that if either of my said sons Thomas or Greensbury should happen to die without issue or without having sold or disposed of either of their devises or bequeaths that then and in that case I give devise and bequeath his devise and bequeath so dying to the survivor and his heirs and assigns as aforesaid.
But if both my said sons Thomas and Greenbury should die without issue as aforesaid or without having devised, bequeathed sold or otherwise disposed of their devise of my said 2 sons Thomas and Greenbury unto my aforesaid 6 daughters to be equally divided between then their heirs and assigns for ever, but if either of my said daughters should die without issue that her part or their parts so dying shall go to the survivior or surviviors of them their heirs and assigns forever, and lastly, I hereby nominate and appoint my son Greenbury Bosley executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former will or wills by me heretofore made. In witness where I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 12 day of April 1772.

NOTE: Joseph Bosley specifices in 2 places in this Will that he has 6 daughters but only five are named. In the final account of the estate by the executor, Greenbury Bosley, however one Ruth Cox is named as being one of the legatees and she receives share equal the disbursed to other daughters. It can only be assumed that the clerk while transcribing the Will into the record book somehow left out the one name.

WILL OF RUTH BOSLEY- COX
In the name of God Amen

I,Ruth Cox , being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind, and memory do make and publish this may last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I command my soul to almighty God and as such to worldly estate and effects as I am possessed of or entitled unto I dispose of the same in matter following that is to day that I desire that all my just debts of any I shall owe at the time of my decease together with my funeral expenses be paid and discharged by my executor, after named within 6 months next after my decease I give and bequeath to my son Jepe Cox the plantation or tract of land whereon I now live with all buildings and improvements thereon in as full and simple matter as I held and enjoyed the same.
I bequeath unto the said Jepe 5 head of cattle, 2 mares and 1 horse also all the hogs belonging to said plantation being all the cattle of any kind to which I have any claim.
I bequeath unto the said Jepe all my household and kitchen furniture together with all the utensils and implaments of husbandry on said plantation or there belong.
I desire that all my wearing apparel may be equally divided between my 4 daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Belinda, and Lydia share and share alike.
It is my will that out of the estate or property hereby bequeath to the said Jepe my executor within 6 months after my decease do pay or cause to pay unto Thomas Cox, Jospeh Cox, Greenbury Cox, Stephen Hicks, Nicholas Roggers, Joshua Cox, Walter James each one Spanish milled dollar which is to be full compensation for any claim on demand which they as sons or sons in law might have a claim to any property which may belong to me at the time of my decease and do hereby appoint Joshua Cox my sole executor of this my last Will and Testament.

Will of Ruth Bosley-Cox, daughter of Joseph and Ann Bosley and granddaughter of Walter and Mary Elizabeth Bosley died in Sullivan County, Tennessee. This indenture made this 12th day of September in the year of our Lord 1815, between Ruth Cox Senr. of the one part and Susanna Cox, Thomas Hartman, William, Sophia, Mary, Thomas, Jacob, James Abraham, and Isaac Cox of the other part, each of Sullivan County and State of Tennessee; Witnesseth: That the said Ruth Cox as well for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which she the said Ruth Cox hath and beareth to the said Susannah Cox, her daughter-in-law and the said Thomas Hartman. William, Sophia, etc. her grandsons and daughters as also for the better preferment of them, the said Ruth Cox have given and granted unto the said Susannah, William etc. all that tract or parcel of land whereon the parties aforesaid, now lives, containing One Hundred and Fifty-five acres, to-wit: Beginning at a walnut and hickory near joining the lands of John Tipton, thence North ten west ninety poles to a white oak, thence North twenty six West fourteen poles to a black oak on said. Tiptons line, thence North twenty six West along Thomas Godards line forty four poles to a walnut and corner of Jacob Sturms, thence South sixty West thirty five poles to a white oak, thence with said Sturms line West seventy five poles to a white oak, thence with said Sturms line to two poplars, a corner of Jesse Cox, deceased, thence with his line South twenty East One hundred and Four poles to an ash and dogwood on or near a conditional line between and Stephen Hix, thence along said line to the beginning. To have and to hold the said infeeage or tenement land or premises hereby given and granted unto and said Susannah Cox, Thomas Hartman, William Cox, Sophia Cox, Mary Cox, Thomas Cox, Jacob Cox, James Cox, Abraham Cox, and Isaac Cox and to their heirs etc., forever. Which said rights to be fully vested in them at the death of the said Ruth Cox, with the following exception, to-wit: the said Susannah Cox is to have an equal share of the benefits and advantages arising from the above mentioned tract of land with the other heirs herein named during her life or widowhood, at the termination of either as the case may be, her right then shall cease to the said tract of land and to be equally divided between the surviving heirs above mentioned, and I the said Ruth Cox for myself, my heirs, etc., do warrant and forever defend every part and parcel of the above mentioned land with the exception above mentioned. JESSE COX

Jesse Cox, son of William and Ruth Bosley-Cox, was probably born in Baltimore County, Maryland, date of death is before 1815 when his mother left his family in her will. Jesse married Susannah ___ who was born 1776 in Maryland and died in 1853. Her second marriage was to Richard Gammon, Sr. of Sullivan County, Tennessee. Richard died 4 January 1833.

2. Thomas Galloway born ca 1829 married 7 February 1848 in Meigs County, Tennessee to Mary C. Rothwell. He went to Williams County, Texas in 1860 and she remained with the Galloways in Arkansas. Mary died in 1892 and is buried in Shover Springs.
3. Eliza born ca 1827 and married John N. Albert in Meigs County, Tennessee. She died in 1892 in Hempstead County, Arkansas.
4. Annis Mae born 27 July 1830 in Rhea/Meigs County, Tennessee. She married Waller Rothwell in Meigs County, Tennessee. Then she married John Ross Sr. in Hempstead County, Arkansas. Annis died 27 July 1888. That are both buried Ross Cemetery.
5. John B. born 7 July 1832 died 4 October 1902 buried Matt Hall Cemetery, Hempstead County, Arkansas. Married Mary Ann Mouser. Second married Shuman. Third married a Hammonds

Sullivan County, Tennessee Book 11-12, 1830 William Galloway and his wife Sophia of Rhea County one of the heirs of the Will of Ruth Cox to John Hamilton $100.00 certain piece of land containing 19 acres and a quarter being Lot No. 4 drawn for William Galloway being his wife’s part of the tract of land willed by Ruth Cox to the heirs of Jesse Cox.
August 1830 in Washington, Rhea County deed of conveyance was acknowledged by William Galloway one of the makers. It appearing to the satisfaction of the court that Sophia Galloway the other bargainor is a feme covert and from bodily infirmity is unable to attend this court. 3. Mary (Polly) Gay, daughter of Jesse and Susan Cox, born 12 October 1803 died 5 June 1896 buried Blountville Cemetery, Tennessee. Polly married Abraham Galloway, son of Marshall and Hannah Wantland Galloway. she and her four children: Sophia born ca 1832, Isaac born ca 1833, Elizabeth born ca 1837 and Ruth born ca 1840 were with her mother for the 1850 census of Sullivan County, Tennessee.

In book 11-294 10 February 1835 Abraham Galloway and his wife Mary to Susan Gammon formerly Susan Cox paid $150.00 for 22 acres Beginning at a black oak and a hickory at the top of a ridge thence along a line of the land set off to Susan Gammon as Dover – Corner of Robert Rheas thence with Jacob Sturms.

3 March 1794 Greenberry Cox is purchasing 100 acres from Ruth Cox, his mother, as he had returned to Sullivan County in fall of 1793.

In 1791 Greenberry Cox is transferring part of this land, 347 acres, to Ruth Cox his mother,. In 1815 when Ruth Cox is giving at her death 155 acres to her daughter-in-law Susanna Cox, widow of Jesse and their 9 children it is stated that this land is near a conditional line with Stephen Hicks.
Stephen Hicks was married to Elizabeth Cox. Their daughter Elizabeth born 12 February 1790 died 14 February 1856; married John B. Hamilton

Jesse Cox 19 July 1793 Sullivan County oldest son of Greenberry Cox kept a diary of 520 pages from 1834 - 1865. it is in the manuscript Departme4tn of Tennessee Archives. He was a pioneer Williamson County Primitive Baptist Minister. He stated that his parents were originally from Baltimore, Maryland, partly raised in Sullivan county after they married and had one daughter they moved to Davidson County near Nashville in 1791. Having been harassed by the Indians and having lost their house and all they had in it by fire, they returned to Solovern County. He purchased 100 acres of broken land on which he continued to live and improve for nine years. His family having increased to six children. In October 1803 they moved again to Davidson County. His father died when he was 10 years old. He mentions his cousin Amos James in Paris, Tennesseen. son of Walter James married to Lydia Cox.

Hamilton on 15th January 1857 for the sum of seven hundred and twenty-five dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has bargained, sold and confirmed unto the said John B. Hamilton his heirs and assigns forever the following described parcel of land containing about forty-nine and one half acres be the same more or less
situated in the aforesaid County of Sullivan on the north side of the main road leading from Blountville to Kingsport one mile northwest of Blountville and known as the land on which the widow Susan Gammon lived and died, and which was divized to her during her natural life by Richard Gammon Sr. deceased.

No. 1 thence with the same north 15 West 94 poles to a hickory and gum sapplings near a large poplar thence along Jacob Stearns line East 30 poles to four spanish oak saplings growing from one root thence South 82 poles to a chestnut Oak and black oak on top of a ridge along the top thereof to the Beginning containing twenty-two acres and a half acres more or less.
Now therefore in consideration of the promises and by virtue of authority in me by law and said decree of court vested, I have bargained and sold and by these present do bargain sell and convey unto him the said John B. Hamilton his heirs and assigns the said three lots or parcels of land containing forty-nine and one half acres more or less together with all and singularly the appurtenances and herediements to hand and to hold unto him the said John B. Hamilton his heirs and assigns in fee simaple and I do further hereby warrant and defend the title to said land unto him the said John B Hamilton his heirs and assigns as for forth as by law and said decree of court it is incumbent on me to warrant and defend the same but no further or otherwse. Laurence Snapp, the Innkeeper, deceased in 1862 willed to his son John T. Snapp a lifetime estate in this farm then to his children.

8 January 1884 book 35 page 177 John T. Snapp and Rachel E. his wife of McDonough County, Illinois convey to William Dines, his son-in-law, his lifetime estate only for 1,200.00. 269 acres in Sullivan County known as the John B. Hamilton farm. Adjoining owners are on east Abel J. Brown, on North Amos James, on west widow of Timothy Hamilton on south Dr. Dulaney, inherited through the Last Will and Testamentof Laurence Snapp, father of John T. Snapp.
17 March 1884, block 36 page 205 heirs of John T. Snapp of McDonough County, Illinois sell 269 acres for 1,500.00 to Henry H. Massengill adjacent Dulaney, heirs of Isaac and Eliza Cox.
